Film „Sukienka” Tadeusza Łysiaka otrzymał nominację do Nagród Akademii Sztuki i Wiedzy Filmowej w kategorii Najlepszy Krótkometrażowy Film Aktorski. Szansę na Oscara ma również polski operator Janusz Kamiński za zdjęcia do filmu „West Side Story”.

Janusz Kamiński z szansą na trzeciego Oscara
Nominacja do Oscara za najlepsze zdjęcia do filmu Stevena Spielberga „West Side Story” to dla Janusza Kamińskiego, polskiego operatora od lat pracującego w Hollywood, szansa na trzecią w karierze statuetkę Amerykańskiej Akademii Sztuki i Wiedzy Filmowej. Wcześniej zdobył ją za filmy: „Lista Schindlera” i „Szeregowiec Ryan”, również w reżyserii Stevena Spielberga.
